If you don't agree, don't install or use Servio.\n\n## 1. The license we give you\n\nServio is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights we don't give you here.\n\n**Personal tier (free).** You may install and use Servio at no cost for non-commercial use: your own game servers, servers for friends, and a personal community. The Personal tier allows up to 3 nodes, 50 servers and 1 brand, and no selling. It needs no license key.\n\n**Commercial tiers (Starter, Pro, Unlimited).** With a paid license you may use Servio to run a business: sell servers, hosting plans, store items or other services, within the limits of your tier (the nodes and brands it allows, and features such as white-label and resellers). Each license covers one install at a time and one major version (for example, every 1.x release). You can move a license to another install as described in your NullDaily account.\n\n**Commercial use** means using Servio to take payments, sell anything, or run it for a business or organization that earns money from it. Personal use is everything else. If you're not sure which applies, ask us.\n\n## 2. What you may not do\n\nYou may not:\n\n- share, sell, rent, publish or otherwise redistribute Servio, its builds or your license key, except as these terms allow;\n- crack, patch, bypass, disable or tamper with Servio's license checks, or use or distribute a build that does;\n- use Servio commercially without a commercial license, or beyond the limits of your tier;\n- remove or hide our copyright notices, or (unless your tier allows white-label) the Servio branding;\n- reverse engineer Servio, except where the law allows it regardless of this agreement;\n- use Servio to break the law or the rights of others.\n\nEach build you download carries an identifier tied to your account, so we can trace a leaked build back to the license it came from.\n\nParts of Servio are released under their own open licenses (for example the game plugins under MIT). Those licenses apply to those parts.\n\n## 3. License checks\n\nServio checks its license with NullDaily's servers. If an install is unlicensed or its license is revoked, Servio will stop receiving updates and marketplace access, and features for selling services will be turned off. Servio will not delete your data or stop running servers.\n\nA licensed install checks in about once a day. If it can't reach us, it keeps working normally for 14 days. Personal installs without a key don't need to contact us for licensing.\n\n## 4. What check-ins send\n\nWhen a licensed install activates or checks in, it sends:\n\n- the license token or key, and a random id for the install;\n- a fingerprint of the install (a one-way hash, not your data);\n- the panel's public address and the domains of its public sites;\n- the Servio version and build id;\n- counts of nodes, servers and brands, to compare with your tier's limits;\n- the results of Servio's integrity checks;\n- the version of these terms that was accepted, and when.\n\nIt does not send your customers' or players' details, your servers' files, your payment data or your passwords. We use this information to run licensing, updates and the public install verifier, to prevent piracy, and to support you. Your NullDaily account has its own privacy notice.\n\nAnyone can check whether a domain runs a licensed Servio on our verify page. It shows your tier and, only if you turn it on, your organization's name. It never shows your key or email address.\n\n## 5. Updates and the marketplace\n\nUpdates and marketplace access come with a valid license (or the Personal tier, where offered) for the major version you have. A new major version may need a new or upgraded license. We may change or retire features in updates.\n\n## 6. Payments and refunds\n\nCommercial licenses are a one-time payment per major version unless your order says otherwise. Refunds follow the policy shown at checkout. If a payment is reversed or charged back, we may revoke the license it paid for.\n\n## 7. Ending this agreement\n\nYou can stop using Servio at any time. We may suspend or revoke a license, or end this agreement, if you break these terms, if a payment fails or is reversed, or if the license was obtained by fraud. When a license ends, section 3 describes what happens to the install: it keeps your data and keeps running servers, but loses updates, marketplace access and selling features. The parts of these terms that by their nature should survive (for example sections 2, 8, 9 and 11) do.\n\n## 8. No warranty\n\nServio is provided \"as is\" and \"as available\", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that Servio will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will keep your data safe without your own backups. You are responsible for backing up your data and for how you run your servers and your business.\n\n## 9. Limits on our liability\n\nTo the fullest extent the law allows, NullDaily is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from Servio or these terms. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the license involved in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars if you paid nothing. Some places don't allow some of these limits; there, they apply as far as the law allows.\n\n## 10. Changes to these terms\n\nWe may update these terms. Each version has a number and an effective date, and earlier versions stay available on our site. If a change is material, your install's administrators will be asked to accept the new version in Servio; nothing stops working while they review it. Continuing to use Servio after a change takes effect means you accept it.\n\n## 11. Governing law\n\nThese terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the courts of [venue to be confirmed], unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.\n\n## 12. Everything else\n\nThese terms, together with your order, are the whole agreement between you and us about Servio. If a part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part right away doesn't mean we give it up. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent, except together with your license as your NullDaily account allows.\n\nQuestions: hello@nulldaily.com\n","html":"
Servio License Agreement and Terms of Service
\n
These terms are an agreement between you and NullDaily ("we", "us") about Servio, the self-hosted panel for game servers, hosting and communities, and about the services that come with it: the license server, updates, downloads and the marketplace. "You" means the person who installs Servio, or the company or community they install it for.
\n
By installing Servio, finishing its setup, or using it, you agree to these terms.
